Emotional Ride

my own emotions
turbulent in a realm of chaos
leads me on a path
to the highest mountains,
the depths of a spiritual hell
once I arrive at the falls
a scene of waves crashing
my vision limited
keep fighting off the voices
alone in a medieval crowd
or dancing at a hoedown
embrace all the lovely tones
like a choir in unison
hear my own clearly
it all melts together, a string quartet
lead by yours truly
staring into the abyss
watching with squeezed eyes
or looking up laughing
enjoying the water hitting your exterior
eyes closed with your heart open
unsqueeze once you realise it’s only you
stop the water from falling
surrender to not knowing,
to the void beyond the clouds
the endlessness of the deep blue sea
take the leap, go ahead and jump
walk right through the mist
find yourself at peace right after
it’s all over
the rollercoaster ride had to end
emotions have their ups and downs
press replay, get lost
whither am I bound?
