it stays the same
why are we surprised
that they lie to win
only a few accept defeat
a true man of the people
the woman you want to represent you
little ego, big heart
not lost in traditional roles
using the game to stretch boundaries
make the rules
most made by the rules
molded by the establishment
old men curricula
taught in a rigid environment
sitting in chairs behind a desk
preparing for their part
business interests
collecting a pay check
taxing on the conscious players
those who serve the public
elitarian clubs join in
avoid the red tape
throw in a little extra,
an incentive to keep the state
maintain status quo
pawns fighting for their queen
at least that is gone
each their own will
CEOs replaced the royal
no care for blood on their hands
no moral stance
no judge to rule
buying into a system
where mere mortals pay the bill
holding all the cards
except the one
that reads the fool
