I wanted a life time

all we got was a day

I wanted the whole world

didn’t realise I had it

if only once

it got away from me

cannot look into your eyes

without tears overflowing

that’s how much love I felt

the sun shined upon us

to remind us of the beauty

and soon it will set

grateful I got to live

and it caused me to die

I got what I asked for

if only in her presence a few hours

time is of no essence

in the moment it was eternal

that’s all I needed

and I wish for everyone to experience

be careful of forever

there is only now

blessed with many moments
