A Privilege, My Privilege

my privilege
a person with a passport
allowing me to experience freedom
go cross the globe if I, so choose
can and able
a privilege
for the first time feeling
being bound to a place
limited, restricted, almost confined
immediately thought stopped
the underprivileged
a person just like myself
an ID, trying to break out Alcatraz
trapped on a closed isle
liberty to cross water taken away
covid-19 caused the change in colours
physical distance leading to social decay
opening up the real challenge
accept there’s so much space
join us, my privilege to have and hold
a privilege, let’s embrace
